<\/strong>The Centre observes the\u00a0World Suicide Prevention Day on September 10. The students of the Centre under the supervision of faculty organize innovative programmes to create awareness on identifying alarm signals of depression and suicidal ideation.<\/p>\n
<\/strong>The Centre observes the World Mental Health Day on October 10. The Centre makes an earnest effort to remove the stigma of consulting mental health professionals for intervention to stress and depression. Towards this goal, the Centre organizes a variety of programmes like an open interface between mental-health patients, professionals and University community. World Mental Health Day is also observed by organizing psychology awareness and assessment campaign under the banner of inPSYght.<\/p>\n
inPSYght is an annual event organized by the trained students of the Centre, where workshops\/lectures are held to create awareness on mental health and offer a free psychological assessment. This is an open day organized for a stretch of 2-3 days. In case of any assessment indicating deviation from the norm, the concerned person is advised to come to the Centre for follow-up with therapeutic intervention and counseling.<\/p>\n
